Not entirely horrible, but never, ever necessary. This is the only prognosis possible for a dull and lethargic action movie that cost more than $100m to make, and less than 10 minutes to dismiss outright.
Despite a high-concept premise, the stakes are low throughout 65. The significance of the title? Well, it is set around about 65 million years ago. We Earthlings are yet to exist, so our future home planet is actually one big, fat Jurassic Park. With dinosaurs rampaging everywhere, there could be no worse a place for a depressed astronaut from several solar systems away to be crash-landing his spacecraft.
His name is Mills (Adam Driver), and his only reason to stay alive after becoming stranded in this prehistoric hell is to ensure the only other crash survivor lives to see another day.
Her name is Koa (Arianna Greenblatt), and she's doesn't really speak a language we can follow. Which doesn't matter so much, as the movie itself soon settles into a predictable rut: blending some unlikely bonding between the oddly coupled duo with many a rude interruption by the nearest hungry dino.
