Eden Park

Eden Park

Eden Park is New Zealand's National Stadium.

Every year, we host over half a million local and international sports fans and patrons at matches and functions.

For over a hundred years Eden Park has been the home of Auckland Cricket and Auckland Rugby. It's a history full of rich sporting moments.

With a seating capacity just under 50,000 seats, Eden Park creates an unmatched atmosphere to experience LIVE sport in New Zealand.

The Park is located in the heart of Auckland, and is well served by arterial roads, buses and trains. It is centrally located in the vibrant suburb of Kingsland less than 3km from the CBD.

"Eden Park is for all of Auckland and New Zealand not solely for supporters of rugby and cricket."

Auckland's unprecedented growth in recent years demonstrates the city's global appeal and diverse multicultural communities. Auckland is the largest Polynesian city in the world and along with its European, Asian and other diverse ethnic communities, there is now interest in all sporting codes, as well as recreational, musical, and cultural events.

Eden Park has a proven track record of delivering successful events since 1903, including the 1950 Empire Games, World Masters Game Opening Ceremony 2017, RWC1987 and RWC2011, CWC1992 and CWC2015, Lions Series, annual Bledisloe Cup fixtures and the list goes on.

Eden Park remains an under-utilised public facility, due in no small part to Auckland Council's role as regulator (by way of setting consent conditions) and competitor (in the form of Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) who operate all other major outdoor stadiums in Auckland).
