Museum of Transport and Technology: MOTAT

The Museum of Transport and Technology is a science and technology museum located in Western Springs, Auckland.

Since opening MOTAT's collections have grown to over 300,000 items highlighting Kiwi innovation and ingenuity. The Museum has been explored and enjoyed by millions of local, national and international visitors. We welcome you into our space, which strives to provide interactive experiences with New Zealand's technology heritage.

WE ARE OPEN DAILY, 10AM-4PM.

Last entry permitted into the museum at 3.30pm. We recommend you plan at least 3 hours to experience both sites.

MOTAT is open all public holidays except Christmas Day.

M1 - 805 Great North Road, Western Springs

M2 - 200 Meola Road, Pt Chevalier
